We have developed a comprehensive service to deliver baggage resilience. It is agile, efficient and proactively adapts to whatever operational situation is presented. Our teams write, plan, train and deliver all resilience programmes for baggage whether it be operational and people focused or system focused.

We have great knowledge and understanding relating to the implementation and delivery of Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), crisis and contingency management and training packages. At London Heathrow Airport we have delivered bespoke Standard Operating Models (SOM’s) and Business Continuity Planning (BCM) to meet the demands of an ever changing, heavily regulated environment, including all operational readiness activities at London Heathrow.

Improving the Safety Culture

at London Heathrow

 

Aviation Business Continuity has been awarded a five year contract with HAL (Heathrow Airport Limited) to supply Baggage Hall Induction Training Officers at London Heathrow. Aviation Business Continuity is now proactively managing the baggage halls and associated areas and is working with all stakeholders to improve the safety culture in all baggage areas at London Heathrow.

SCOPE

  • Driving standards/speeding checks using speed guns.
  • Observing all vehicle tug movements and recording any infringements.
  • Assisting with all Fire Safety & Emergency Procedures.
  • Developing an excellent relationship with all Airline’s & agents.
  • Ensuring high levels of Health  & Safety.
  • Providing guidance & assistance to the Baggage Hall stakeholders.
  • Proactively Communicate with the Baggage Control Rooms (BCR).
  • Daily reviews with stakeholders to improve all processes.
  • Carrying out surveys & data collection.
  • Attending accidents/incidents within baggage facilities and their aprons.
  • Assisting Duty BSM/Airside Roads Team in the event of an accident.
  • Assisting with all Fire Safety & Emergency Procedures.
  • Ensuring that safe walking routes  are respected and adopted.
  • Monitoring the correct use of PPE by all users of the MBH.
  • Continually monitoring and fault damaged, or out of service equipment.
  • Carrying out daily Health & Safety Checks.
  • Taking a lead in all forms of customer service within the MBH.
  • Continually monitoring all Vehicle Information Display Screens & Baggage
  • Information Display Screen reporting any issue’s that occur.
